It’s official, Talk Talk takes an average of 5 1/2 weeks to connect customers

Apparently a study was done into how long broadband providers take to hook clients up. Unsurprisingly, Talk Talk was one of the worst:

Talk Talk is one of the worst culprits, taking an average of five-and-a-half weeks to connect customers, this compares with an average of just under two-and-a-half weeks with NTL/Telewest and Orange.

So, I suppose it’s fine if you want to wait for a month and a half. But otherwise, go with someone else.
